East Houston Regional Medical Center Welcomes It's First Baby of the New Year!

Houston, Texas, January 2, 2017 -  East Houston Regional Medical Center and Karen Casares, Certified Nurse Midwife, helped parents Marcelo Alvarez and Rubi Salazar welcome their daughter into the world at 3:11 a.m. on January 2, 2017.  Ximena Alvarez weighs 8 lbs. and 10 oz. and is 20.5 inches long.

“This was our first time delivering at East Houston Regional Medical Center, we had a great experience at the Hospital. The staff did a great job taking care of us” said Marcelo Alvarez.

Ximena and her parents received a gift basket filled with newborn essentials from the East Houston Regional Medical Center.
